The Role
Was amazing at giving me the experience of a professional nurse and the working conditions and structures with procedures. A great internship.
The staff I interacted with were all very helpful and concentrated on providing the best possible service.
I was always briefed and given a demonstration on anything I was unsure of or not completely confident over. Everyone was incredibly supportive.
The ward I worked on was classified as a B ward in terms of business. I did find it very stressful and panicky at times but everyone around me were very encouraging and helped me calm down.
I was encouraged to make decisions autonomously, but I was always required to report my ideas and get their response, guidance, and authority.
The most engaging and rewarding time of my life! Of soooo much benefit!
The Company
At certain hectic times the atmosphere was electric and on edge but I think I thrived on the pressured environment.
No issues.
I was deployed on several different wards to further my skills and knowledge of the possible areas and departments which was of great help.
A definite possibility when i graduate.
The Culture
Everything was a concentrated on work rather than socialising.
I lived with my boyfriend's parents so it was very cheap for me.
The nightlife is good, with Manchester neighbouring, though work commitments did keep me from partying much.
None at all.
