The Role
I've enjoyed my year immensely, the value I've got from the experiences I've had over the past twelve months has been huge and I'm excited to take my learnings on into my career and education going forwards.
There is no mistaking the fact that my role was an essential part of the HR team, I always felt valued and treated like a true colleague, my responsibilities never dipped. I feel that at the end of this year I've been able to contribute something really valuable to the organisation.
My manager met with me on a fortnightly basis and despite working part time was always available for help or guidance as I needed it.
I've never been bored! The role is always changing as we roll out varied initiatives to the wider business and go through annual cycles like performance review so you're not only always busy, you're always busy with an ever changing list of activities.
I was given a significant amount of responsibility at all times, I was always challenged.
I believe this year will have added great value to my career and studies going forwards.
The Company
Always friendly, although the HR team can be at times more quiet than other areas, this suited me well though.
The process was well managed from start to finish, I always felt I had a point of contact and many sources of support.
The company organised a number of training courses and development sessions bespoke to the needs of the undergraduate cohort, but we also had an extensive range of other courses and opportunities available to us.

Very appealing, I'm in the process of applying for the graduate scheme.
The Culture
Yes- Milton Keynes is not the busiest social scene but with so many undergraduates placed together I was never short of people to spend time with, we've had a fantastic year together.
Cheaper than my home, but I appreciate more expensive than expected for some.
We always had somewhere to go in Milton Keynes, but for those looking for something more varied London isn't far away.
Yes plenty, Milton Keynes is conveniently located for travel to lots of other places and the social atmosphere among colleagues here is really good.
