The Role
I really enjoyed all of the work I was able to do and all the things I have learnt here.
Felt like a very valued member of the team and trusted with certain jobs.
My manager was very helpful and reassuring. Also my supervisors and all of my team were very supportive when I needed help.
It varied from month to month as new releases were being shipped. I felt that coming toward a deadline I didn't have much work as the rest of the team were very busy and had no time/ I didn't want to bother them about work. Wasn't always the case as I was involved in helping with testing right up until release date some of the time.
I was given a lot of responsibility, I was to automate a whole session of tests and also trusted to start a website for circulation within the team.
The skills I have learnt here will be crucial for my final year project and are core skills I will need when applying for any job after I finish my degree
The Company
Everyone in the office was so nice and friendly. There were plenty of events that took place within the office which was a great way to talk to different people. Really enjoyed the atmosphere within the office.
We were the first set of interns within our department in the office, so there were sometimes we were unsure of what we were to do but our manager and supervisors were more than helpful.
Basic company training was provided but there were opportunities to go to seminars and training events, but were not very accessible due to time difference between UK and USA.

The Culture
Yes there was a brilliant social scene within the office as a whole, everyone very friendly.
The cost of living is good with rent at about 240pp if your sharing accommodation and the cost of living is relatively cheap but not a lot of money left over from wages.
The nightlife is great as there are many student nights during the week if you can stick it and at the weekend the city centre bar and nightclubs of Belfast are buzzing.
No not with work colleges or HP orientated but plenty to do around Belfast.
