The Role
I have had a great year. I feel that i have learned a great deal about development engineering and about gas and diesel engines. I didn't grudge having to come into work as my work was interesting and my collegues where so supportive
I felt that I was an Integral part of the team and my oppinions and ideas where always considered to be valid.
Training wise I was offered all the training i required for my job. My managers are approachable and always willing to give a hand when necissary or point me in the direction of the best way to learn something i didn't know. I would have scored higher if I was given slightly more challenging work.
Depending on what was going on I could have plenty of good , challenging work to do on lots of varying projects. At some points in the year things got a bit quieter and there wasn't quite as much to do and i sometimes had to find things to do.
I was treated like an Engineer and therefore was given all the same responsibilities over projects, deadlines etc.
All that i have learned this year will be very useful in the future. Theis year has put into perspective a lot of what i have learned at uni as well as supplying me with an abundance of in depth knowledge that i could never have got anywhere else.
The Company
The office was a joy to work in
There was plenty of training and material to get me started, the company had everything set up for me on arrival. Only issue for me again was I felt that I could have done a bit more
No expense spared when it came to making sure I was well trained and prepared for doing my job
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
I would love to come back here and work
The Culture
As there was only two of us not really.
It was about average, rent was more expensive than I was used to but socialising was cheaper.
It was decent, plenty of bars and a couple of clubs with good links to big cities if that appeals to you
Plenty of oppertunities to do anything you can think of
