About You
The insight week was a fantastic experience, learning opportunity and networking forum. I thoroughly enjoyed the spring week!
The members of HR were enthusiastic and participative in all our activities and all the bankers we met were willing to answer any questions and help us with our group project. We were treated very well during the week and taken extremely good care of throughout.
Following the above, from all the information presentation sessions to work shadowing to the CSR trip, I felt completely supported throughout. People were always there to help us, but it never felt claustrophobic. We also had lots of freedom.
While I'm not sure the technicalities involved in financial advisory are applicable to my studies, the teamwork and problem solving skills I developed are transferable to all aspects of life.
The Company
On the first morning we arrived, we received a pack of information, including a timetable for the week. The majority of the day was packed with activities, leaving us good time in the (late) evenings to work on our project. I really appreciated the fact that each day was filled with structured sessions.
My fellow interns, the bankers and HR members and the firm were all amazing!
I felt like a part of Rothschild and we were treated as employees of the company. They certain take an interest in developing their people from day one till the very highest levels, and this was evident throughout.
Great insight into financial advisory and Rothschild!
The culture at Rothschild is quite hard to miss, and this shone through during the insight. The people and general atmosphere are really something special.
Extremely useful - both in terms of industry, sector and choice of firm type.
Everything Else
While I was not paid, those traveling from outside a certain distance could request for expenses to be reimbursed.
Definitely! We had a networking lunch with Analysts, afternoon tea with Directors, work shadowing sessions, and lots of interaction with HR members.
The "formal" lunch, afternoon tea and drinks session were great! I also had a couple of meals with my fellow interns, which was wonderful.
We had a presentation on CSR, went on a CSR volunteering trip, had a tour of the building (ie. saw the gym!) and also had the chance to talk to bankers about what sorts of thing they are involved in.
Undoubtedly so - it was an unforgettable and great insight week!
