The Role
Loved working at VWG this year, great support from colleagues and felt like a well valued member of my team.
Very valued, the work that I was completing was crucial for us as a team to complete tasks and was given lots of responsibilty throughout the year.
My manager this year has been great, he was always there to support me and help with any questions or problems throughout the year even just for a general catch up.
Due to having a finance based role, this depended on the time of the month. The beginning of each month was very busy but other times could be less busy but I always have work to be doing!
Given lots of responsibility to complete roles within my team and to take on project work where I could use my own judgement
This will definitely help beyond my degree especially when finding a graduate role. I have developed all types of transferable skills this year which will be valued by most employers.
The Company
Always busy although there were lots of great personalities to lighted the mood and have fun.
Volkswagen have had a placement year scheme available for some time now so this is very well organised.
I attended lots of training days to improve skills (e.e IT Skills, presentation skills and management skills) and also visted many different business areas across the country to widen my business exposure.

Graduate scheme and furture career is very appealing with Volkswagen and is something I will be looking to apply for.
The Culture
Placement students regularly go out together and we often have team meals/nights out or event days.
Housing is much cheaper in Milton Keynes, and very good bars and restaurants to discover.
Nightlife was average, but it is not about where you are it is more important who you are with! Great people = Great night.
I was part of the sports and social commitee so was always organising events for the team outside of work.
