About You
Great learning and networking opportunity.
Felt very valued. A lot of the scheduled activities involved interaction with senior staff. Everyone was very approachable and took the time to talk to you and help out with our end-of-the-week-project.
HR made more than sure that everything went flawlessly and all of the activities were planned out very well.
Expanded my knowledge of the banking, and M&A in particular industry, but also learned specific skills needed to work on an M&A deal.
The Company
Very well structured, really got a glimpse of everything. We had a lot of different workshops and seminars, two work shadowing sessions, volunteer work and countless networking opportunities (organized and random).
Really liked the collaborative atmosphere among all the interns. Met lots of interesting and amazing new people.
Was treated like an employee. We got a lot of exposure to the directors (and bankers) in general, which I found was rare at other insights. Had great people do the workshops that were also enthusiastic about spending time with us, that showed a lot about the company culture as a whole.
We were introduced to all the branches of GFA and had very insightful work shadowing sessions on multiple occasions, but of course there is only so much you can learn about the daily routine at the firm in five days.
Left a very positive impression. Everyone was very highly valued and respected starting from intern on. A lot of emphasis is placed on its long-standing tradition in the market.
Very helpful to get a first-hand insight into the banking industry and its dealings before setting your sight on an internship in the sector.
Everything Else
Reimbursed travel and accommodation expenses. Also received lunch vouchers.
We had a lot of networking opportunities schedules as part of the program, like Welcome Lunch, Afternoon Tea or Welcome drinks. Moreover, you could talk to people during lunch or coffee. During work-shadowing you were introduced to the whole team of the person showing you around and could also build on that.
We had great networking opportunities with the employees of the firm as well as social activities just with the interns.
We a presentation on Rothschild in the Community and their outreach projects. Also, spent one afternoon volunteering at one of their partner projects.
Very highly! It was a magnificient program and Rothschild really made sure we had the best of times. Even if you discover that financial advisory isn't for you after all, you will have met so many new exceptional people. You will also get ample opportunity to challenge yourself and learn how to build a professional network.
