  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Was a great experiance, was trusted to work alone and was treated like everyone else on the team

  • My team were always helpful and friendly and I was part of the group from a very early stage.

  • Support was provided when I needed it, but the job did require me to work alone and use my initiative

  • Sometimes too busy - expected to do work that collegues in the job for more than 5 years would've found difficult.

  • Repsonsible for the release of batches of product from site through quality testing.

  • Practical laboratory skills have improved alot, theoretical knowledge not as much

  • Busy but mostly happy - everyone is always willing to help if you encounter a problem

  • Was sometimes difficult to fit in my university work which went alongside my placement

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Lots of basic training for work, however, not trained in many laboratory tests - often ended up doing the same thing each day due to this.

  • Very good, have got through to final stage of graduate scheme

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • 10 placement students on site - 9 male, 1 female. Attempted social events but the group didn't gel very well

  • Live in the middle of nowhere up North - very cheap!

  • Miles away from a town with bars or clubs
