The Role
Enjoyed it a lot. Gives you lots of opportunities to experience the pharmaceutical industry, not only your day to day work but different areas in the company can be explored. I have gained many skills that I think would be very useful in the future.
I was treated like any other colleague and not a student. Everyone was friendly and it felt like a really good team.
Not only your supervisor is very helpful and supportive but everyone. They help you in the things you don't know and help to guide you in the write direction.
Some days are busy and some days there aren't any studies going on but this gives you time to do some research or any other work. When it was busy my supervisor would always tell me that anyone can chip in when it gets too much. When I had free time they would let me get on with what I want to do.
I was given a fair amount of responsibility but if I thought that I could not handle it then I would ask for some guidance. I was given the responsibility taking on the study and0 doing the experiments.
It gives you an idea how the office environment is. The placement really helps to develop many skills which would get you ready for when you get your first job as a graduate.
The Company
The office is usually quiet as everyone is busy with their own thing but it still has this friendly and relaxed feeling to it where there was some laughter
Fairly well but if you want to find a project that you can do this took a very long time with many difficulties.
At the beginning there is a lot of online training that must mandatory but then once this is out the way you get to the practical training and this continues throughout the year where you are gaining the experience that is needed when it is needed.

Company Parties/Events
Subsidised Canteen

Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I am definitely appealed, they are a company that I would like to get back into by trying to get into one of their graduate schemes
The Culture
I didn't live in Ware as I commuted from home but everyone would still invite me to these social events. There were also events that were planned by the department for lunches and after work events.
Reasonable
Not that many places but some places in Stevenage and Hatfield.
There wasn't many activities that appealed to me but there are lots of sports activities that you can get involved with.
