The Role
I mostly enjoyed working with the people I did. The projects began to get more enjoyable as the placement progressed, with more responsibility and recognition.
At the beginning it was difficult to feel valued. However, now I am responsible for key projects it has been a brilliant ego boost!
HR were brilliant at giving advice and helping when needed
I often had to ask for work or create my own projects
Project manager for the catalogue reprint is a pretty big responsibility for an intern
The Company
The atmosphere was pretty relaxed, it was easy to ask for help and make conversation during the day.
The scheme is well set up, however, my role was somewhat haphazard, largely due to the manager, not the scheme. The company underwent a lot of changes too that affected who I was working with on what
Lots of chances to attend training with other interns
Company Parties/Events
The Culture
The whole bunch of interns got on really well and regularly met up between sites
