The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at GSK. My team offered me support and also stretched me to challenge myself. I have learnt a great deal.
I felt like a real part of the team.
I was supported not only by my line - manager but also members of my team and mentors.
I was constantly busy - to a good level and sometimes pressured which meant that my ability to respond to urgent requests improved.
A good level of responsibility in my own function (sales) and in marketing too.
I have realised the real difference between University life and working. I think that the skills that I have developed will more than likely help me with applications and future assessment centres than my studies at University.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was one of friendliness and fun, it was also an atmosphere of focus and hard work - a real balance of the two.
Very well - perhaps more information about my day to day duties could have been given.
GSK have a real focus on people and development which I really liked from the start. I always felt as though I was looking for ways to develop myself and my manager would help to facilitate with development.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
High - I would defiantly come back to GSK on the Graduate programme.
The Culture
Yes - more towards the beginning of the year.
I lived in West London - rent was expensive. Socialising was better in Central London which was also expensive but worth it.
Brentford didn’t have much to offer - if you live near to a tube station the social scene is much better with lots of choice.
I think there could have been more activities outside of work - team functions etc.
