The Role
I thoroughly enjoy my placement - it is insightful and I am learning a lot from the work I am doing. I also feel that this will better prepare me for whatever role I take when I finish my placement as well as for when I return to academia to do my masters.
I feel that my colleagues appreciated the work that I did.
My supervisor was amazing and supported me in all of my decisions, enabling me to change my mind on the careers path I had chosen. At some times I felt a bit lost as I didn't have the industry experience she did, but I feel that now I know to ask her to connect the dots for me I can really do well in the rest of my placement.
I was very, very busy on a daily basis.
The majority of the work I was given was administrative work, which whilst seeming insignificant actually involved a lot of the company and impacted everything.
This has been a beneficial year, though not for my degree.
The Company
My office atmosphere is friendly and open.
Well-organised.
They invested some training though I did not have time to take advantage of all of it.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
I hope that by the end of my placement I will be offered a role with them.
The Culture
This was acceptable.
Windsor is very expensive but Slough is very cheap with easy access to London.
Very little Nightlife.
Some opportunities.
