The Role
It has been a great opportunity and I have learnt a lot.
Towards the end of my placement I really felt like a member of the team and was able to pass on my experiences to new students.
I had regular 1:1 sessions with my manager and she was easily accessible to ask questions etc.
It varied week to week, but most of the time I was kept very busy.
Quite a lot towards the end when I had a good skill-set and independence.
This placement has been key to me securing a PhD place on a competitive programme based in London. They were really interested in the skills and experiences I had gained during my placement at my interview.
The Company
Everyone was quite busy so the office was quite quiet a lot of the time.
Very well. My placement contributed to my masters qualification and my supervisor was very attentive at knowing what the requirements were etc.
Quite a lot. I was given a lot of help with my university work and advice on career choices etc.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I'm not really sure what is on offer. I would have to gain my PhD and some experience before I would have a chance of getting a job here.
The Culture
I lived at home so was not involved in the social scene with other placement students. I have heard that it was quite active.

I was asked to help out at the site Open Day and there were opportunities for IP students to get involved in outreach activities.
