The Role
It was the best placement I could hope for with lots of variation in the work I carried out and lots of opportunities to implement what I learnt at university to solve real life problems.
I feel very valued and like a true member of teh team not justa student
I have regular meetings with my supervisors so I can ask for guidance and support. The friendly environment means I feel comfortable to ask questions at any time.
I was comfortably busy, there is always lots to do but I never felt too pushed.
The responsiility I was given increased over teh period of the year, towards the end of my placement I have been given much responsibility in certain areas of teh project.
The skills I have learnt will be very useful in the future I am sure. It is the first time I have truely appreciated the practical applications for what I have learnt at university.
The Company
Friendly while being proffesional and hard working
Very well organised. There were lots of oppotunities for me to get involved in projects, but the timetables were not too rigid that I could not express particular interest in some areas of work.
I did not have much opportunity to attend specific training but as I was dedicated to getting the most out of my year I was able to learn and develop a great deal.

I would really like to work for GSK in future.
The Culture
I am the only placement student on this site and everyone else is much older so the social scene is not great
