The Role
It has been very challenging, but enjoyable and I have learned so much!
Colleagues seemed to appreciate and seek my opinion on projects, and were very kind and welcoming.
There is an excellent support network, with everybody very willing to help.
Work days varied a lot - some would be extremely busy, whilst during others I would struggle to keep myself occupied.
I had complete responsibility to make decisions which steered the direction of my project.
The skills I have learned will be invaluable in my future career plans.
The Company
My office were very friendly and helped me to feel settled almost immediately.
We had group induction training, which worked really well.
We were treated with the same level of resource as a permanent member of staff could expect.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I would seek a job with GSK in the future, if I could find a subject area to suit me.
The Culture
There are a lot of placement students in the area, so the social life was always lively.
It was pretty much what I expected for this area of the country - it was affordable.
Stevenage is not the biggest party town, but there are things to do in the surrounding areas.
There were plenty of charity events to get involved with.
