The Role
Very valuable as a placement. There are many opportunities to learn how not to do things in the real world.
By my local team, very,
Mentor provided outside of the team is very valuable as is independent of any politics within your organisation. Management are also supportive when needed. Quarterly appraisals are also a benefit
Project work on this scale has fluctuations however generally very busy. Never any time to sit and do nothing... Team is too stretched.
Very significant responsibility given...
Monumentally. Working for a global company with co-located teams and varied direction certainly shows how not to do things in the real world... Project management skills and learnings will be reflected in final year studies.
The Company
Not enough air conditioning. Far too hot.. The people though, friendly, open, chatty.
Assessment centres held too late in the year so a lot of strong candidates will have already accepted other jobs. Once in, well structured. Housing provided and is managed well as on such a large scale given the 100+ placement students.
Training courses provided, ability to gain experience in areas other than your job role
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Working from home
.... It is fantastic as a placement to see how the company works.
The Culture
There was plenty of opportunity for this
Medium. Luton is not too expensive.
