The Role
Working at Intel was a very enjoyable experience.
Everyone at Intel is very friendly and approachable.
Every intern is assigned both a manager and an "on the job coach" to assist and supervise you throughout your internship.
I was busy throughout my entire internship. However, I went out of my way to find extra projects adding to the workload. Essentially, I was busy because I wanted to be.
Once you develop the trust of your stakeholders, you are given an increasing amount of responsibility.
I feel that this placement has prepared me for both my final year at uni and also my professional career after graduation.
The Company
It is a working environment, with friendly and approachable people that you can go and grab a drink with.
Intel hires about 50 placement students and year and as such have a lot of experience in this process.
I was given the opportunity to attend any training or talk that I found interesting.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare/Dental
There is a very good chance that you will be offered a position in future if something becomes available.
The Culture
With 50 placement students comes a good social scene.
Living in swindon is cheap.
The nightlife could be better.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in volunteering or sports outside of work.
