The Role
I have enjoyed the placement, it may have been hectic at times, but I feel that that I am leaving as a better person and more prepared for the real world.
Good team members, many of whom appreciated my contributions to the overall team.
My manager was very supportive, she was extremely helpful in times of need and provided much advice over the year, she was willing to push me to better myself when she saw potential in me.
Very busy. My position was customer facing so it involves more interactions than perhaps other interns in Finance, I ended up having to talk a lot over email and the phone. At times it may have felt like I had too much on my plate, but even so I had the full support of my team and manager.
A lot, the role involved much customer interaction, where in many cases I spoke with customers directly.
Intel has a vast training profile, offering skill development of advanced techniques on common programs like Excel, whilst also covering presentation, project management and communication skill development . One of the training sessions that stood out for me was the coding classes.
The Company
Fun when need be, we had a couple of interns in our team which made the experience much more fun.
The placement set up is good, there are many interns at Intel so they have a team to prepare us. The current interns are also heavily involved in ensuring that the next batch of interns are prepared for their placement.
Mostly done with my manager rather than the company itself, my manager was heavily invested.

The company has a good culture and work ethic, I like the open nature of the organisation and could definitely see myself coming back as a graduate.
The Culture
There are many interns (around 60) so there is always some event, night out or social activity going on.
Cost of living is cheaper than most cities, but to live close to the office is quite expensive. Expect to find decently priced places about 30 mins walk from the office.
Not so great,
There are plenty of opportunities, but not always so easy to find or partake in.
