The Role
Enterprise is a great place to work. It's great fun working with like-minded colleagues (all of similar age and personalities) as well as the British public. Despite having to work hard, and some long hours, the rewards are great and its well worth it.
Tam work is one of the most valuable aspects of work in the branches on a day to day basis. I received a lot of feedback for my work, ad contributed greatly to our team performance. In short, the answer is YES.
From Day 1, you are put straight into the deep end where you need to apply yourself on your tasks in the branch. There was never a time when I felt that I could not ask for help, and I always got it. By asking loads of question I learnt so quickly and soon I was able to support other colleagues in their learning and development. Also, I had 4 or 5 full training days were I learnt more about the business and how I could impact it (training was the best I have experienced by a country mile!)
Very busy. But this is the best way. Sometimes it feels like your chasing time a bit, but there's always something to do. The last thing I'd wont is having nothing to do. The key however, is to be organized and tasks to be well divided and split throughout the team, this way it always feels less busy!
This has increased day by day from the offset. After gradually easing you in, once you are coping with your current workload you are able to take more and more on. This puts less pressure on your manager and also gives you greater exposure to more parts of the business. More responsibility was only given when I was able to perform well.
Time management and organization skills have been key for me to perform highliy during my placement. This, accompanied by my hard working attitude which I have applied at enterprise will allow me to be a well organized student, and keeping to deadlines. The key message that I have taken away from all of the training I have received at enterprise, is to ensure that you always understand the 'bigger picture' to what it is you are doing. What I mean by that is that the small tasks we do on a day to day basis, some of which may not be the most thrilling, have greater impacts to ourselves as individuals as well as the company.
The Company
"A fun and friendly place where team work rules" - it was exactly this, one of the companies founding values. I think if I didn't enjoy the environment and the colleagues I was working with, then I wouldn't have been motivated to work as hard!
I simply can't fault it. I was looking for a placement with the broadest exposure to different areas of the business, and that's what I got. The whole year is set out for you, with achievable goals and milestones. To be honest, a career at enterprise is no different. All you need to do is show that you can perform in different areas of the business and then you will simply move up and onwards. Its a fast moving company and that's because people are getting promoted quickly, and there are so many opportunities out there.
I attended a 3 day training session before I began. Following that, I had training at 30 days, 3, 6 and 8 months. These were so valuable to me, as well as being great fun! They allowed me to learn more about the business and how it really works. Its vital to remember that enterprise is just like any business, and that despite it may only seem that your 'renting cars', they are a massive global organization who have their customers, our products are the cars we rent, and its our customer service which brings people back. And it is as simple as that! Remember, there is a big business being run outside of the branches, and once you've been promoted out of there then you really are smashing your way up the ladder.

The prospects are endless. For me, the goal is to return and quickly get promoted to a branch manager. After proving myself at this level, I would like to progress on into the other areas of the business, quite possible Re-Marketing where are cars are sold back to various dealerships.
The Culture
Everyone who works at the company are of a similar personalities. I have made loads of new friends simply because of this and because we are all of similar age (post grads)
I lived at home so this was easy for me.
Being from Norwich, I knew the place well and where to go. Overall, a great night out.
Not many, always busy working and then there is not a lot of time to get anything sorted. This is very limited.
