The Role
I have found the job to be a huge insight into the real working world, although I've worked a lot of hours and it's been very hectic I have enjoyed my time and found it very interesting.
I felt welcome in every part of the organisation, I have visited many sites across the organisations network and I have met some great people.
My mangers and colleagues have always been there if I have had any problems/issues.
Generally I have worked fairly long hours, however this has not bothered me as I have also enjoyed what I have been doing.
My managers and colleagues have had a lot of confidence in me, and this has meant them giving me lots of responsibilty from early on.
I have definitely learn't skills that will assist me in my life, both on a personal level and in terms of my future career.
The Company
Where I am based, my office has a very good atmosphere. I have also experienced many other sites across the organisation and these too have been very friendly and welcoming.
The organisation has been good, I have been lucky in the sence that I have been given the opportunity to work on projects that I have found interesting and enjoyable.
I have had the opportunity to take part in various training course, which I have done - as well as the usual mandatory training.
National Travel
Above 25 days holiday
I will definitely be applying for their graduate scheme, hopefully my background knowledge and experience will help me achieve a job.
The Culture
There have been events that I have been able to attend, however my placement is up North and generally events take place in London, therefore I havent attended as much as I would have liked.
Fairly expensive, taking into account thye accmomodation etc. However the salary more than covers all of the costs I encountered, and at the end of the day I was not on a placement to make money I was there to gain valuable experience, which I did.
The place where I am based is a small market town, therefore the nightlife isn't great, but this would not put me off the placement at all.
There are both social activites and also volunteering opportunities to get involved in.
