  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Huge variety in work, was great to find out what I enjoy doing best

  • very much so, was given real responibilty within the team

  • Managers helped where neccessary but also allowed enough space to learn by doing

  • The work varied depending on project work, but there was never a dull moment

  • Given real projects that directly impacted production

  • The skills where mainly based around project managment and people skills rather rather then technical engineering. But they are still very important skills to develop

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Alot of work gets done but in a relaxed way . Everyones gets on well and helps each other.

  • Organisation was good, I was allocated specific projects as and when they arose

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Two academic courses, each one a week long. As well as a day long AA safe driving course to drive fleet vehicles

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • There is no official graduate scheme which is dissapointing. Jobs are only offered based on perminant possitions arising. Jobs based on your competencies are not neccissarily available.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Reasonlably. But alot of undergrads lived at home, so they went out with their own freinds from back home.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Standard. Could live of a typical student budget

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Reasonable. Chester is a good night out

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Some, We played football once every two weeks if most undergrads were available.
