The Role
Felt confident and comfortable with my surroundings which enabled it to be an excellent experience and still be able to learn and grow throughout the year.
They don't want me to leave! I feel part of the team and I know that I added value and that they'd be happy for me to come back.
My task manager has always supported and made sure I was comfortable with the work I was doing and that it wasnt too much pressure. My Personal development manager gave valuable advice when needed.
Started very busy, but once in the swing of things I began developing and making things easier for myself by using other tools or programs.
I was responsible for many tasks and activities that would stop other peoples work flow if i was not to complete them. My team trusted me to comply
Not directly related to my degree, helped greatly with future career aspects as I have a years experience in a well known company.
The Company
Everyone had a good mix of playfulness and professionalism. We knew when we had to put our heads down and concentrate but we would always have a laugh along the way still.
It was a quick start at the beginning as there isn't a lot of time between getting my placement and starting. But the organization whilst actually on my placement has been outstanding.
There were many education sessions held for different aspects such as brand, presenting, employability etc. There is also a huge online education system.
Flexi Time
Financial Bonus
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I would happily apply back and intend to.
The Culture
Yes, bit of a slow start as we all developed our own groups but eventually all the seperate groups are now one big group. We've had staff parties and nights out with the whole crowd.
Socialising was fantastic as its a student town and cost of living was average.
Brilliant!
IBM offers "giveback" which is chances to volunteer for a variety of different reasons - from careers fairs to helping in schools.
