The Role
Had an amazing time and met some great people.
Each individual, no matter what their position, is easy to talk to extremeley approachable in terms of work and personal.
Each person i' worked with has supported me with a variety of things and given me the courage to take any opportunity. Every person has guided me the right way and taught me valuable information.
Given many tasks to do and quite a lot of responsibility which is fantastic - to feel trusted is great. But also given time out for one-to-ones with colleagues to sit, have a chat and get away from the desk.
You are filling a position - you are not the asisstant's asisstant. I have gained resposibilities throughout my time here and managing these successfully is really fulfilling.
Absolutely skills for life - I have not only developed my academic skills and ability to complete the jobs given but i have also been developed as a person and now feel confident in myself that I can do a good job and create good releationships on the way.
The Company
The office is very fast paced (especially on ladieswear) which motivates you to work faster and become more efficient.
I have never moved away before, not even for uni, so this was a big thing for me. I felt it was organised well and settled in seamlessly. I do think each year, it can be made smoother.
The company is very passionate about offering colleagues the best training to cevelop both personality and eprformance - in terms of training and development, I cannot fault the company whatsoever. I really liked how colleagues could choose courses specific to their positon but also courses that catered for other areas.

Future employment with the company is something i desire however the area of the Head office is out of my travel zone. However, the company does have another office that caters for design clsoer to my home which may be something i try when i leave university. It has also opened opportunities with third party companies that work closely with the business on product. I have the option to work with a third party (closer to home) on the business' account.
The Culture
All placement students get on well together but due to being in completely different areas of the building, it's difficult to have the time to see each other. This is no reflection on how well we get on together.
Personally, the area was quite expensive to live in but there are options such as house shares for those that want to lower the cost. I wanted to live on my own which was a personal choice and, for me, the company pays enough for me to live comfortably which is good. For others, living alone may be too expensive.
I live in a small town with little to no nightlife however there are major cities close for those that want to party. For me this wasn't an issue, i loved where i lived (even without nightlife).
I took almost every opportunity thrown at me - which takes alot for me to do. I think with the training, the company has developed my personality and made me into an opportunity taker.
