The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed socialising and informing students across campus about opportunities at GSK and definitely learnt a lot from the experience. It was great to use skills I had previously obtained, as well as gain new skills.
The OCP team respect their brand managers a great deal and are in constant communication and always ready to lend a helping hand. They provide both positive feedback and constructive criticism, which is fantastic to help one improve.
Kate, my supervisor, and the representatives from GSK were all helpful and replied to queries promptly. They were aware of the individual circumstances on each campus and catered their marketing tactics to help each brand manager succeed.
The role was more weekly, fitting hours around my schedule, which allowed for great flexibility.
A lot of responsibility was given as I was the sole representative for the company on campus and therefore had to ensure I spread the word!
The skills and training have been really useful, more specifically the interpersonal skills, which are necessary in any graduate role. I have spoken about this role in numerous interviews and there is definitely of a lot of detail to go into!
The Company
N/A - the role was on campus.
Very organised - OCP made sure to provide us with a lot of information.
A whole day of training was provided, which was extremely informative and well organised.
As a brand manager, you are not directly fast tracked for a role, however your interaction with GSK puts you in good stead.
The Culture
Yes, I am still in touch with a few of the other Brand Managers at other universities.
N/A - on campus
N/A
As the role is flexible, you can carry out any other activities you may want to do.
