The Role
This was a great year which was very fun, I recommend this to anyone who enjoys interacting with people and is keen to improve their confidence with customers. The working hours are at times exhausting; however this is indicative of any big and successful company from time to time.
My team was very close-knit and there was a great atmosphere in the branch. Praise would be given where it was required!
For the most part of my placement, my area manager was non-existent and if the employees in my team were not as enthusiastic, motivated and ultimately fun as they have been, then I am sure I would not be as supportive of the company as I am. In general, support given at Enterprise is available at all times, with the ability to reach out to anyone in any position at the company.
Enterprise is a very busy company - my branch in Epsom was incredibly busy and whilst this was not a problem, one must be prepared to work very hard. People who shy away from hard work and responsibility should not want to work at Epsom Enterprise, or even Enterprise in general as lazy employees are often whittled out.
As an intern, I had as much responsibility and input as my managers, and could impact on their ultimate decision-making.
Enterprise has provided me with great organisation and management skills which I will keep with me forever. My confidence has increased substantially as well, and this is something which University cannot teach,
The Company
For the most part, the atmosphere was fantastic and couldn't have been better!
The placement was very well set up, in the sense that I was in essence a graduate, as everyone at Enterprise is given the same treatment.
On the job training was beneficial.
Have been invited to join the company upon finishing University, and there are many avenues available to take as a graduate.
The Culture
This is not a job that comes with a social life. This is a great placement for work experience and gaining invaluable skills, but I am looking forward to the Summer and University again!
On the outskirts of London, Epsom is an expensive area.
Pretty nondescript.
A few charity events throughout the year but apart from that the occasional pint with immediate work colleagues.
