The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my time working for Linklaters.
My opinion was always taken into consideration and I was allowed to show my creativity, coming up with campaign ideas for my particular university.
I was always in touch with my manager and she supported in my fully in my role. I could go to her with any questions no matter how trivial.
My job was on a part time basis but I had certain tasks to do throughout the week as well as submitting weekly feedback. I thought this was a very good system as it keep the campaign running without interfering with my studies.
Due to the fact that this was the first year the Brand Ambassador role ran at my university, I wasn't given as much responsibility as students from other universities because each programme was tailored to that particular university. This could not be helped and I was still given a lot of responsibility.
I learned and developed some extremely useful skills that will be important for my future career as a lawyer such as interpersonal and communication skills. Moreover, I gained a lot of confidence from the role and this will be a real benefit in future applications and job interviews.
The Company
I worked from home as this was a part time job so this question does not apply.
It was very well organised and set out.
I took part in a training day at the firm and this was very useful.
Flexi Time
Working from home
I would like to think that future employment prospects are good with the firm as I thoroughly enjoyed working for them and they were pleased with my work. However, I still have to go through the same application process as everyone else so some more tangible benefits from working with them previously would be great such as going straight to interview in the application process. This would also provide more of an incentive to future applicants.
The Culture
Yes, we would go out for drinks after a day at the London offices.
