About You
I thoroughly enjoyed the A&O First Open Day and it was the most enjoyable open day that I attended.
I felt valued having been chosen from numerous applications.
I was always able to speak to someone if I needed help and have felt supported on the scheme.
The day helped me to learn more about the firm and gather more information on the application process. It was also great to gain the contact details of a trainee who I have been able to keep in contact with.
The Company
The insight day was well structured and everything was well timed.
There was a pleasant atmosphere and everyone seemed very friendly.
The company invested in me by choosing me for this scheme, which is not for just one day. The trainee solicitor contact highlighted the investment in each student.
The day probably highlighted the role of a trainee to a greater extent than that of someone higher up in the firm.
It was a very enlightening day, and it was very helpful to speak to numerous members of staff.
The day was very helpful in terms of explaining the role of a solicitor and the kind of work they do.
Everything Else
The day had a speed networking section with employees from each field and I was able to network with trainees during the work shadowing section of the day.
The networking opportunities were fantastic and meant that I was able to gauge the work of each sector.
Yes I was informed of the social events at the firm and the emphasis placed upon Pro Bono work.
I would definitely recommend this opportunity as it allows you decide whether this is a firm you would like to apply to the following year for vacation schemes.
