The Role
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my placement; it’s been highly demanding but even more rewarding. This placement enabled me to develop both in a corporate manner and as an individual and I also found the work extremely intriguing.
Very Valued - From day one the team welcomed me with open arms, gave me various responsibilities which were intellectually stimulating and were vital for the department.
My Line manager was very supportive and gave me guidance when necessary; this was evident throughout the company as when working with various levels management they often gave me advice and assistance when required.
Due to the nature of the job we were often supporting the management, corporate sales team and clients, at times we could become extremely busy but often the work load would be just right as we had various projects which we would work on in less busy periods.
I was given vast amounts of responsibilities throughout my placement which included taking over the necessary daily and weekly task all while training a new graduate recruit in these tasks; in addition I was entrusted with various projects which included working with one of the company’s largest corporate account information. In addition as my skills developed I was able to help implement and improve some of the reporting systems which were used by the department.
The skills I have developed in such a short time are invaluable; my excel, access and even my VBA skills have advanced incredibly since joining the department, this has been through various forms of training and some of the work which I have done during my placement. These skills are definitely helping me in my educational development as well as in my progression as an analyst.
The Company
There was a friendly and welcoming atmosphere one which I was able to enjoy a lot of fun with my colleague’s, but it still maintain key principles of corporate office. Overall a Great working environment.
I was part of the first group of UK Corporate Interns so it was a learning experience for both me and the company, I didn’t really feel like an intern more like a general employee which is how I preferred it.
Throughout there were vast amounts of opportunities for training and development. To improve my understanding of the business I was able to have Branch experience Regional Admin office Attachment Working in various departments Online training So I would say there was a significant investment in my development during my placement

Given the right opportunity I would not think twice about coming back the company. And there are lots of opportunities to rise up in the organisation especially with the monumental expansion which the business is currently undergoing.
The Culture
Great group of interns and we all got along very well; I feel we didn’t have enough social events though
Normal prices for the south east
Not many venues locally, but we are a short train journey from London
Played football regularly with work colleague’s on Fridays, also various times when there were opportunities to play against other companies.
