  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I feel that from day one I have been a valued employee at Microsoft at no point have I felt like an intern. The amount of responsibilities and opportunities you receive at this place is exceptional. My team has been so welcoming and I have always felt like a valuable and equal member of my team

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The level of support and guidance is second to none. I have always been made to feel like I can ask any question no matter how trivial. My Manger has been a hero he has given me so much advise and support. He has guided me and help me achieve everything I have aimed for this year. I couldn't have asked for better support.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Perfect balance of role specific work and time to work on my own personal development and really important side projects. there hasn't been a lot of quiet time but I have thrived off this.

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • A lot of responsibility, at time I was doing work that was being reported up to the GM of Microsoft and also to America at Corp.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Learnt so many life skills and equally as importantly skills for work which I feel can't be taught in education.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Vibrant! Always things going on, from demos of the latest and greatest Xbox Games or Microsoft Hardware to bringing in of our partners and sponsors, my personal favourite was the Lotus F1 Team. In terms of around the desk and work area everyone is very friendly and helpful. Again the office is nevr quiet and there is always something exciting being discussed or problems being overcome.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well! From day one the team built a great community for the 120+ interns it has felt like a big family. This is an amazing feat as we span the country from Edinburgh to Reading. There has been a lot of well thoughtout side projects and "101 Teams" (small intern groups) to get involved in. All of which have help improve the business and deliver real benefit to the company.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Loads of personal investment. Received monthly training, and quarterly product training. Pitch perfect (how best to sell the Microsoft Stack) has been my personal favourite. I have even been trained in how to sell the Microsoft Products in stores and been given 2 weeks experience on the shop floor perfecting this.
