  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I had a fantastic year at Microsoft

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt like a valued member of the team and was never once referred to as the intern or made to feel that way. In fact, being an intern probably brought me more opportunities!

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • It varies between times of the year and team changes/restructes but all up the support and guidance was there. I found that through the multiple mentors I had, I got a lot more support.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • As busy as I made myself'; the culture, flexibility and opportunities meant that it was literally in my hands how busy I wanted to be; most of the time this was pretty busy!

  • Tonnes.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Massively. It's quite amazing how you much you actually learn 'on the job' and couldn't imagine myself having not had this experience now!

  • Very positive; the culture is incredible

  • It varied throughout the year and was very depended on which part of the financial year we were in

  • Hugely appealing; I will be applying back in the future for Graduate opportunities!

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • It really varied between where you were based, for me, yes definitely! It's a very open place to work so relationships naturally flourish.

  • It was OK.
