The Role
The internship at Microsoft has been a life changing experience for me. It will definitely help me throughout my entire career, as it has given me so many opportunities to develop myself and learn. I have been able to work on amazingly impactful projects that were very rewarding for me as an individual.
I felt like the "baby" of the team. I have been included in all the teams' events, including weekly lunches and meetings. They've always helped me when I had an issue at work and helped me with advice to learn and develop myself. I am very thankful for all the time they dedicated to helping me grow.
I have been given feedback about my performance and advice on what I should focus on in order to enhance my future career.
I have been given an impressive project to work on from the beginning. I truly felt like a full time employee. With real responsibilities and daily tasks.
A lot of responsibility. The project I worked on has been extremely rewarding. I could have never imagined I would be given such a big project to handle as a placement student. It will help me throughout my entire career.
I have learned in one year at Microsoft so much more than I thought. All this knowledge will have a great great impact in my future. I've learned how professional software developers work, the process they follow and the best practices to use. Extremely intelligent people acted as role models for me throughout the entire placement year.
The Company
Great environment to work in! A lot of international people, so I had the opportunity to meet people from different cultures and learn from them. We had a games room for our lunch breaks with foosball and an Xbox console. We had a lot of social events and went out with the team after work. It was a really fun experience I'll always remember.
Really seamless. The University Staffing Team has always been there to support us and help us with any inquiries we had. I could not have asked for more. We had a lot of events for interns throughout the year, which have been very well organized. A lot of team building opportunities that have been incredible for our personal development.
I had access to the Microsoft Library with a lot of books I've borrowed over the year. I have also been able to access an online catalogue of courses to help me work on my C# skills. The courses have been amazing and I have truly developed myself a lot via Microsoft's resources.

Great and smart fellow interns!
London was pretty expensive, but I did not feel any financial pressure. In terms of socializing, it has been an incredible opportunity for me to live in London for one year. It is truly an unique place!
