The Role
I loved every aspect of my internship at Microsoft. It was a great year and I feel much more prepared for what's to come. The internship scheme is weel organised and I personally haven't encountered any problems whatsoever.
I felt like I was an FTE from the first week. After a month, there was no way to tell that I am an intern, judging by the attitude of others.
My managers supported me and successfully guided me to finding where I belong and what I am passionate about.
The days at my office were definitely not the busiest, which helped me catch up with my colleagues in areas I was not prepared
During my internship I have never been treated as an intern - I have always been given full responsibility for the work I do. This has sharpened my time management skills and has given me the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
I have developed many crucial skills that will be vital when trying to find a job in my field (computer games)
The Company
Our office has always had a more laid-back and casual atmosphere. This has been very helpful for me as it eases you starting the job and trying to adapt to the working day and pace.
The internship was very well organised, with introduction day and week telling us what to expect and preparing us for the year ahead.
I was allowed to explore any areas I am interested in and I got amazing support doing that.

There are several streams I can go down if I want to join Microsoft again after I graduate. The MACH scheme is a good way to get your first graduate job and then continue growing inside the company.
The Culture
There were many opportunities to get to know the other interns and join social events with them. During the year, I made many friendships which will probably stay for life.
I did my internship in London, which explains the quite high cost of living. However, there were many ways to meet new people, which is always good.
Amazing. My office is just next to Soho, the best place in London for a night out. You can probably figure out the rest.
There are 101 teams, which do all sorts of projects and can be joined and ran buy interns. They provide a good set of activities and paths you can go down on to expand your potential.
