The Role
I really loved my placement at Hays. They give you every opportunity to develop your skills and enhance your career. From day one you are treated like any other member of staff and you can see the work you do really makes a difference.
I felt extremley valued by my colleagues. They would assist me whenever needed but at the same time allow me to grow my skills on my own.
My manager and I have monthy meetings to discuss how I have performed each period and this allows me to evaluate my performance and see what areas I can work and improve in.
I was busy each day but this was good for me as it meant time passed really quickly. I was involved in lots of different tasks meaning I always had something I could work on.
I feel I was given a lot of responsibility in my placement as I aftercared over 200 workers. This gave me a sense of pride in my role and made me want to work harder.
Everything I have learnt here at Hays I know will be transferable both when I return to university and go on to my future career. I was fully trained in my role and quickly developed skills to help me excel in the job.
The Company
My office has a really bubbly, lively atmosphere. People are constantly on the phones trying to recruit or sell in candidates. This sets a great environment and a good pace for the day.
Here at Hays they have a whole placement scheme meaning that you always know what it expected of you. You have reviews every 3 month to evaluate your job performance and regularly meetings to ensure your job is going well.
The company offer lots of training for you to take advantage of and be well equpped for your role.

I have been told they would like me to come back to Hays which is definitely something I want to do. I love my job and would want to continue down the recruitment route.
The Culture
Hays had a really good social scene with incentives if you do well and achieve your targets. Also if you hit target in a week 4 as a reward you get to finish early and go to the pub with your team to celebrate.
Working in London is expensive but it was worth it for me.
Great nightlife - lots of places you can get to from Victoria.
Definitely - they have a social engagment team which regularly organise events outside work which you have the option to be involved in.
