The Role
Everyone at the firm was really friendly and the week gave a great insight into the firm. The work I was given was explained well to me and my supervisors were helpful in providing feedback. A highlight was attending a client meeting, the subject matter of which was very important.
I was given work that was useful to an associate.
I had enough work to do but never felt stressed by the tasks given to me.
The work I was given clarified the importance of particular skills that lawyers need and have influenced my elective choices on the LPC.
The Company
I was invite to and attended both the department's Christmas party and the firm-wide Christmas party. Every one I came across seemed easy to get on with there seemed to be a good atmosphere among colleagues.
The placement was well structured and had a good mix of activities organised for the week, combining proper work with information sessions about the firm and social events.
There wasn't huge focus on teaching me through the work I was doing but my supervisors were happy to explain things and give feedback. The firm put together a well organised placement and put alot of effort into making it a rewarding and fun week.
