    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my placement year. I gained a lot of knowledge and skills in the business sector. I liked the flexibility of choosing my own modules.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • On the whole I felt valued my colleagues. I was treated as a member of staff rather than a placement student. I felt involved throughout.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I felt very supported throughout. Whenever I needed help or advice my supervisor was always there. Cannot fault them.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • On the whole I was kept very busy. Whenever I had finished a task I had another to move onto.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I feel I was given a lot of responsibility throughout. I was in charge of certain tasks in each module and was responsible for them throughout. I liked the responsibility I had.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • It allowed me to put into practise what I had learned at University and see it in reality. I have improved my own personal skills which will definitely help me in the future.

  • Atmospheres in my offices were always warm and welcoming and a fun environment

  • It was very well organised and I received a plan for my full placement at the very beginning.

  • I received necessary training for each department and had time spent on me to improve my knowledge.
