The Role
I enjoyes the level of responsibility I was given, and I found the work engaging and interesting. Having lots of other interns working at the same site definitely increased the enjoyment.
All colleagues were very welcoming and happy to help with anything I needed. Everyone was very appeciative of the work I do, and I really felt like a key part of the team
I was given the opportunity for 1:1 support whenever I needed it, and regular guidance, as well as help setting goals. Obviously my supervisor has her own busy job to be doing, so offered as much time as possible.
Work came in peaks and troughs, however I was busy most of the time, and always had other work to be getting on with on side projects if my main project was quiet
I was given lots of responsibility with the right guidance from my manager
Too early to tell, but everything I learned will be invaulable next year for my degree, and will definitely influence my future career
The Company
Quiet, and lots of other colleagues often worked from home, but the office was always friendly
More of the introductory talks and site visits could have been organised centrally for all placement students instead of being on an individual basis. I waited around 4 months to receive my contract after the initial job offer with no further contact from the company. I was wondering at points whether the placement was still going ahead.
I was able to highlight different business areas that I wanted to explore, and my managers were very happy to put me in touch with different contacts who would help me learn more. I did the best I could while still fitting in the day-to-day work

Working from home
A very appealing company to work for, I will definitely look to apply after university, perhaps in a different department.
The Culture
Average, because we were all from different universities, and the site is located in an awkward place, it became difficult to organise opportunities to meet up. Social plans fell apart a few months into the placement. Could be better depending on the other students
High cost of socialising due to travel into London, house prices seemed reasonable for the area, if slightly expensive compared to university
Quiet except for Pubs
There were some opportunities, i think it is dependent on the social scene in your office and with the placement students
