The Role
Fantastic company with a very welcoming attitude. Very tight knit community of interns who are recognised as a normal employee.
The interns at SAP are recognised as normal employees and are treated as equals. This appears to be replicated throughout the company.
My manager and buddy were always accessible when I needed them. Clear in their delivery of support when needed.
Good balance of busy. You are in control of how much responsiblity you have whilst at SAP which encourages interns to get involved more.
I took on a good amount of responsibility. I took over specific tasks completly so that I was the sole person to go to regarding these topics.
I learnt key business skills that will hopefully be used in my future. The training I received can also be applied to many different circumstances. The general business ettiquete is something that SAP were successful in teaching.
The Company
The atmosphere is one that encourages interaction. Given that the office is open planned you have the opportunity to meet and network a variety of different members of staff. The social events outside of work were often which is credit to the closeness of the intern community.
The organisation of the placement was not great, in terms of a structure. There is no fixed structure to what you are learning. However, this isn't always a bad thing because you are learning what a real job can be like. You learn useful processes and how to do relevant business tasks but it was in an unstructured way.
My manager was always highly supportive in any training and development I wanted to be a part of. They would always encourage me to find relevant trainings that could be mentioned to the rest of the team.

The opportunities to work at SAP are very limited. There are no graduate jobs in roles outside of sales and presales. Even in these two areas the opportunities seem limited.
The Culture
The social scene amongst fellow students and colleagues is fantastic. There was always events that were open to everybody which allowed a great social interaction.
This depends on where you lived exactly but the wage paid by SAP didn't leave much to live on. However, given the office's location this isn't a surprise.
The nightlife in the immediate area around the office was non-existant. It required travel to go on a night out but this wasn't too expensive. The nightlife is great with Central London not too far away.
Yes there was a lot of Charitable events to get involved in. There was also a few sports teams including Football and Netball.
