The Role
I've highly enjoyed my time at Savills and would recommend the summer scheme to anyone considering a career in property,
I felt extremely valued, the team made every effort to ensure that I was given opportunities to do a broad range of tasks. I was also set projects throughout my month at Savills which allowed me to develop my knowledge of the industry
I was given a great deal of support and guidance. I was working with a director which ensured that I always had work to do. I also worked alongside a graduate and allowed my to gain in depth knowledge of the working environment within the company.
The days definitely varied with the amount of work. Some days were incredibly busy, whilst others there was less to do. However this was expected and I was encouraged to ask around different departments which allowed me to gain a wider understanding of the roles within the company.
I was given tasks, that had to be done by a certain time, such as certain documents and reports, so in that respect I was given quite a bit, however, help was there if I needed it.
I believe it will be incredibly useful for my further education. It has also helped for my understanding of the industry
The Company
There was a fantastic atmosphere in the office. Everyone was really friendly and happy to answer any questions
I was assigned a director who oversaw my time with the company. I was given projects to complete as well as having smaller tasks assigned by different members of the department.
I feel like I gained a lot. I sat in with clients as well as site visits and APC sessions.
Company Parties/Events
I will definitely be applying for a job with Savills.
The Culture
Yes, there was a drinks organised for the company one evening. The office also organised a lunch for the summer students to meet various directors.
