The Role
My internship was ok. Depending on which service line you join, it will be more or less exciting: Auditing and Consulting teams go out to client sites more often and Consulting does more varied work, whereas Tax (where I was) is a bit more settled, I was out of office only a couple of times. But overall it was a valuable experience to get to know Deloitte and to decide if Tax service line was a good fit for me.
They were all very friendly and helpful, but if you happen to join at a busy period it might take a while for them to start delegating tasks.
Given their time constraints, supervisors assigned to me did all they could to explain the wider context of my tasks and what they expected of me.
Some days it took me a while to find what to do, other days I was swamped with work and had to stay a bit longer (but nothing crazy in terms of working hours).
Grad level tasks.
Don't know yet, but having worked in financial services tax I can assure that I did learn a lot about different types of securities, funds and taxes levied on them.
The Company
Busy, and at the beginning a bit cold as people seemed to mind their own business. But the more people you get know, the better it gets, and you never feel alone sitting in a large open-space office.
Deloitte HR prepares really well for every intake, how well your department is prepared varies from one office to another.
Deloitte employees did not shy away from explaining stuff to me as they all assume that you'll be joining in a year as a grad.

Deloitte is a huge company with lots of big clients and career prospects, but you have to ensure that the service line you join is a good fit for you.
The Culture
We did meet up a couple of times, but unfortunately I was the only intern in the whole building (others were spread across the campus in other buildings) and did not see them very often :(
Standard central London.
A few good pubs around chancery lane and Holborn areas, Farringdon and Shoreditch are not too far.
Not really, it takes a while to get to know London.
