The Role
I really enjoyed my time at Siemens, great company with lots of great people working for it.
I was always made to feel valued and was treated just like any employee is treated and not made to feel like an intern.
I was lucky enough to be part of a really good team with lots of support. My manager was fantastic at providing guidance.
My workload was varied throughout my year. Sometimes I could be non stop and other times I could be without much to do. However you can make enough work for yourself as there is always something to get involved if you want to.
Once I had earned the trust of my colleagues and shown I was capable, I took on some important tasks which I was responsible for looking after.
I undertook a training programme for interns which I found really useful. Other than that the skills I have developed during my year will certainly put me in good stead for a graduate role.
The Company
The atmosphere was always good, friendly.
Overall it was a good placement year.
My manager was keen to know what I wanted to get out of my placement and was willing to help me develop.

Employment prospects are good with Siemens. They are keen to invest in graduates who have already undergone an internship with Siemens. They invest a lot into their graduates.
The Culture
Yeah there was always a social event going on, you can get as involved as you want.
It is fairly expensive in surrey.
Poor locally, surrounding areas are good.
Yes lots of opportunities to get involved in CSR events or represent Siemens.
