The Role
Greatly enjoyed it: living and working in the city, going off to client sites, meeting lots of friendly people, learning on the go and having the feeling of contributing and achieving things through your work.
Felt very valued, was given important client-facing responsibilities early on and felt very much part of the team
Despite my manager being very busy as I was placed in a tight-scheduled client project, I was given good support by the rest of the team and while sometimes work-wise support was missing I enjoyed having a go by myself and learning on the go.
On average quite busy, but some days were very packed (for instance being given data in the late morning and having to deliver the analysis slides for the client meeting report in the late afternoon) while others were less so (reasons being the team being on away client meetings or running client workshops).
I feel I was given a lot of responsibility, and while everything is always double checked by your manager and so on, this happens to full-time employees as well, so as an intern I was surprised of having my own independent work-stream and having my slides featured in the client deck.
I don't think they really helped me in my degree studies (probably vice-versa), but I did learn a lot by being thrown in the deep-end (excel data analysis, delivering effective presentations etc.) and these skills will help me a lot in what's to come.
The Company
Nothing special to report on atmosphere, quite professional, but the atmosphere within the team and in general on client site was fun and friendly.
The first two days were training and were quite structured but after that we were sent off to our project teams and the structure depended on the workload and was very flexible.
I was provided with average training since it was only for the first two days but I do feel the company invested a lot in my personal development.

National Travel
International Travel
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
I would strongly consider applying to work with the organisation
The Culture
The scene was varied, some fellow interns were less friendly than others but overall there were some great people and full time colleagues were very helpful
Living in London is very expensive both in terms of rent and socializing but at least in part socializing events were organised and paid for by the company
Very active London nightlife was a perk but opportunities to take advantage of it were limited because of the long hours.
There were some opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work, such as charity football matches and social events and activities organised by the firm for the interns.
