About You
Over the past four weeks I have thoroughly enjoyed myself having done a range of different jobs for the people in my team. From the moment I started the four week program I was made to feel at home and comfortable within the team. Above all, Savills has provided a range of different seminars in order to provide myself and other interns with an insight into the different areas of the company besides the ones we work in. Along side work, there have been various social events, including a rounder's in the park, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed.
As stated previously I was made to feel comfortable within the team from day one. Not only did I feel comfortable, but I was also made to feel as though the work I was doing was of value to the company. I feel that it is easy to be given work which may not be as valuable to the team but working at Savills goes beyond this and that is something which I have thoroughly enjoyed.
Plenty, the graduate I was working under was always on hand to give me guidance when needed. On top of this, the remainder of the team were easy to approach and willing to help me when I needed it.
Although I am still currently on my summer holidays, I have no doubt that the skills and information I have learnt over the course of this month will help me to achieve higher results in my studies, particularly with my dissertation.
The Company
The structure to the month was extremely well organised and I cannot fault it.
Atmosphere In the office was fun but at the same time I was able to feel how busy everyone was and how hard my team were working. Deals were done on a regular basis which is encouraging to see as it highlights the improvement we are seeing in the market currently. Above all there was a positive balance between the team working hard but also enjoying themselves.
As I was only at Savills for 4 weeks, the personal training I was able to receive was rather limited.
I would say that throughout my placement I have gained valuable experience in regards to getting an insight into day to day like within Savills.
Extremely, I feel I now have a better steer on the path I would like to follow after university
Everything Else
The great thing about the month was the ease of being able to email people within the company to have a meeting with them for 10 minutes. On top of this, there was a networking event whereby we were able to circulate a room in order to meet the directors of each department.
