The Role
I enjoyed my internship as I learned a lot and found the work quite interesting most of the time.
My colleagues were very helpful and always willing to answer my questions or help me with my tasks when I got stuck
All interns took part in an introductory training week before the internship. Also, all interns in my division were welcome to attend networking events
Work was quite unpredictable, so I had both very busy and quiet days.
I was responsible for a small section of the final report
I improved my Excel, PowerPoint and formatting skills which I believe will be very useful to me in the future
The Company
Generally pleasurable, although it depended on how busy we were
Generally well organised, no major problems
All interns took part in an introductory week as well as a day to develop our skills
Subsidised Canteen
Future employment prospects are quite appealing as they offer a lot of opportunities
The Culture
The social scene amongst interns was good, and especially during the introductory week it was easy to get in touch with others
I worked in Central London, so whilst it was possible to find inexpensive options living cost was generally high
As I worked in Central London, there was a large range of nightlife options available
Opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work were rather limited
