The Role
It was an amazing and very enjoyable experience. I learned a lot and put the skills I learned from University to good use. It was nice to see that I could use these skills in a real life situation. I also met many new people and expanded my network greatly.
My colleagues definitely valued my contributions and I certainly didn't feel like I was being treated differently just because I was new or because I was an intern. I learned a lot from my colleagues.
The support and guidance given was excellent. From the very beginning the company provided training and encouraged everyone to perform to their best ability. My manager was really supportive throughout the internship and I could always go to him for help very easily.
I thought I was pretty busy on a daily basis. It wasn't unmanageable but definitely felt the pressure of the job, definitely near the end of the internship.
I was given a lot of responsibility during the internship. It was quite scary at times because I had to talk to real clients but it was all part of learning on the job and it was exciting as well.
The skills I developed during the internship were very useful. It helped me during my university studies and I feel skills such as communication which I have improved in throughout the internship will no doubt help me in future employment.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was more relaxed than I thought it would be -- it wasn't that serious at all. The environment made it easier to work and I knew I could ask for help at any time.
It was very well organised. All of the events which were coming up and details about the internship were communicated to the internship in time and we could email the internship team to ask any questions we had.
The training was provided was great. At the start I was a bit worried about not knowing some things but the training was provided to get everyone up to speed. My manager provided feedback which helped me in my personal development.

I would like to return to the company but I would also like to explore other roles than the one I was assigned during my placement.
The Culture
Great social scene. I made friends with the other interns fairly quickly and we organised events together to get to know each other. We often ate lunch together.
Cost of living was fairly expensive, but not unmanageable. I kept an eye on my budget so I was fine.
Nightlife was very good. I definitely recommend it. I went out with other interns and we had a lot of fun and the places were fairly close to the office.
A lot of events were organised for us to network with others outside of work. I made a lot of good friends through these events and also got to expand my professional network.
