The Role
I really enjoyed my placement I felt like I learned alot during my placement and made some good friends in the year.
I always felt valued by my collegues and the recognition for good work was always given. I was well intergrated into the graduates and felt included and valued by both my peer group and seniors.
I was given a people manager who was always available to talk to about any questions or concerns i had. I also had a buddy who had previously been on placement with PwC this was of great help and was a real insight into what the placement would entail.
Due to the nature of work and the deadlines that needed to be met at somepoints in the year you were very busy. However there was also some points within the year were the days were less busy. There was a good balance and i enjoyed being busy and feeling challenged
As a placement student you are treated like a graduate and therefore are given some responsibility, one example of this was being given champ roles for example morale champ which would mean i would try to keep morale high. You were always responsible for your own work and time management.
I felt on my placement i have learned how to manage my time well, due to completing my ACA qualification and working on client jobs at the time. I also learned how to be self motivated whilst studying as on my placement learning was often done by a way of 'self study'
The Company
There was a very friendly atmosphere within the office everyone was willing to help you with any questions you had. There was a real sense of being in a team whilst in the office and always whilst being out on client sites.
The placement was well organised and we had contact with the recruitment team who organised the event, we had an online session and towards the end of the placement we had a day were all placement students met up to discuss how we thought the placement went.
We had constant training and development throughout the year and were constantly learning this training days were invaluable and really important for my development throughout the placement. PwC also invested in me as whilst on placement i began my training towards my professional qualification.

Yes amongst our peer group there was a large social scene, and lots of social events to attend.
The area was really sociable and there were lots of events to attend. I lived at home whilst on my placement so cannot comment on the cost of living.

Yes - there were often lots of sports clubs to attend, for example football, netball and rugby.
