The Role
I really enjoyed my work placement
My in charge would often praise my work, but I did feel like the company needed a better recognition process
I was given support, but sometimes I found I had to reach out for meetings
Very busy in the busy period, but there were also more relaxed periods
My responsibility grew as the placement went on. Particularly during and after busy season I noticed I had a lot more responsibility
I am taking an accounting module in final year, which my placement will be very useful for and I think the independent learning and self management I've built will be invaluable
The Company
The office is very social and everyone is very welcoming. It can get quiet when teams are out on client site.
It was pretty well organised, but could use earlier communication. You join the graduate scheme, which is very well organised, but I would have appreciated more frequent contact from the head of placements in recruiting.
The firm invests heavily in my training and development. They put you through college and exams for the ACA qualification and there is lots of industry training throughout your time with the company.
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
I would really like to return to the company and complete my ACA qualification. The company is a pleasant place to work so I would like to stay there for a while, but am open to trying new things at some point in future for my own development.
The Culture
You join a large intake of graduates, which has a very communal feel. The company is extremely social and your teams and department organise frequent events for networking and getting to know everyone.
I lived at home, however I know that living near the London office is expensive. Socialising isn't too expensive (if you know where to go!)
Theres lots of restaurants and bars and other Nightlife places are only a couple of tube stops away
Yes the company has lots of groups and committees and also a volunteering program.
