    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I think that my placement was a worthwhile experience which enabled me to grow in confidence as well as learn a lot of new skills

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • As I was the only business placement student at my office I felt a little like an outsider at times but most were welcoming

    3/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The in-charges on all of my jobs were helpful and I was given a people manager to go to for any difficult situations but they were not always very approachable

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • It was a very busy placement with my hours being mostly 8.30am - 6pm which left little time to do much else

    2/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • In addition to being put in a client facing role, I was also performing work that would usually have been performed by a person two years above my position!

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • As it was a placement that complemented my degree I was able to choose my final year modules based upon what I had learnt within my professional qualification studies

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Typical social events organised e.g. Christmas office party but other offices had more

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Well organised as it has been running for a while now and they treat us the same as graduates but the job offer and ending process could be better

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • PwC is really good for personal training and development as placement students get treated the same as graduates and therefore start their exams for professional qualifications in the placement year

    5/5

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • No other placement students in my office but in other offices there are a couple which get on well - very dependant on office

    2/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Bit difficult for me as I lived at home and had an hour commute to the office

    2/5
