The Role
I think that my placement was a worthwhile experience which enabled me to grow in confidence as well as learn a lot of new skills
As I was the only business placement student at my office I felt a little like an outsider at times but most were welcoming
The in-charges on all of my jobs were helpful and I was given a people manager to go to for any difficult situations but they were not always very approachable
It was a very busy placement with my hours being mostly 8.30am - 6pm which left little time to do much else
In addition to being put in a client facing role, I was also performing work that would usually have been performed by a person two years above my position!
As it was a placement that complemented my degree I was able to choose my final year modules based upon what I had learnt within my professional qualification studies
The Company
Typical social events organised e.g. Christmas office party but other offices had more
Well organised as it has been running for a while now and they treat us the same as graduates but the job offer and ending process could be better
PwC is really good for personal training and development as placement students get treated the same as graduates and therefore start their exams for professional qualifications in the placement year
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Car
Subsidised/Company Gym

Almost guaranteed a job offer at the end of the placement
The Culture
No other placement students in my office but in other offices there are a couple which get on well - very dependant on office
Bit difficult for me as I lived at home and had an hour commute to the office
I did not really know - as above
They allowed 'flexible' working for activities outside of work but in reality not many actually did this
