The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement year at SAP! It's been the highlight of my degree by far. I have gained invaluable knowledge and experience that will remain with me.
Extremely. The team made me feel like an integrated member of the team from day one. Everyone was extremely friendly and happy to help.
I was given an enormous amount of support from each and every member of my team. I was never afraid to ask for help and guidance when needed.
Extremely! This is a positive! I never had a boring day. I thoroughly enjoyed my role so the days flew by.
Within a few months I was owning the recruitment process for all UK Graduate hiring, which was a success which then led me onto being asked to fly to the Nordics to run the full recruitment process. By the time I had left, I had completed the 360 degree recruitment process from Graduate positions to Senior positions across Sales, PreSales, Cloud and Technical positions.
The skills I have leant have gained have laid the foundation for my career within Talent Acquisition. Whilst on my placement year, I have had to work to very tight deadlines, this has certainly boosted my motivation to get back to University and get that 1st!
The Company
The atmosphere was great. The offices are modern and open plan which makes it much easier and nicer to work. Everyone round the office was polite and friendly and open for a chat at anytime.
The handover from my last intern was detailed and good. Once I was left with the team, I had regular 1-1's with my buddy and manager. I could always see the next stage of my development and was clear how to get there.
There was a vast array of training courses to opt into. My manager was always seeking opportunities for me to go and enhance my skill set.

The Culture
The Recruitment team were definitely social! We were always getting together and going out in London for events, drinks etc.. It was a very fun and friendly team. The intern community was large, there was always something going on either after work or on the weekends.
Average.
A few pubs. Central London is just down the road on a train, we used to go there or Richmond which was 4 minutes on the train.
