About You
It was a very enjoyable two weeks with lots of variety.
I felt very valued. The other members of staff took the time to get to know me and were very keen to find me interesting work to do.
I received a lot of guidance and support from both HR and my supervisors and buddies. Tasks were explained well to me and everyone was willing to answer questions and offer advice.
The skills I developed such as conducting thorough research and paying close attention to detail will very helpful as I continue my degree.
The Company
It was very well structured, we were given a schedule at the start of the week and there was lots of presentations and activities planned as well as desk time.
The atmosphere was extremely friendly while maintaining a strong work ethic. No one was intimidating and they all made an effort to make me feel welcome.
The firm offered us a large variety of presentations and a workshop which all furthered my training and development. The members of staff that assigned me work also provided me with extensive explanations as to the case I was working on and the operation of the department.
It helped to a great extent as much of the work I was doing was the kind of work that a full time trainee at the firm would be doing.
It helped in a large way. There were several presentations to help us gain an overview of the companies culture and spending two weeks in two different departments helped to show this culture in practice.
The scheme was very helpful as it gave me a much better insight into what life would be like if I took up the role of a trainee at a law firm.
Everything Else
I was paid well for this scheme.
Yes, there were organised social events such as drinks evening and lunches which gave us the opportunity to meet other employees.
There were several social event opportunities which were well organised and gave us a chance to speak to the other employees in a more informal atmosphere.
Yes, the trainees told me a lot about the sporting activities that are available and I took the opportunity to play softball with some of the staff during my scheme.
Yes, I would definitely recommend this vacation scheme to a friend. I had a very enjoyable two weeks in a friendly firm and felt like I learnt a lot of valuable skills and information.
