About You
Hugely enjoyed the insight, on both a working and social level.
I felt very valued whilst at Pinsent Masons. I was conducted work which was to be used by other workers in real cases, and was given good feedback on the work I had undertaken and felt like the work I was producing was valued by other team members.
Guidance from other students, graduate recruitment, my associate/supervisor, and 'trainee buddy'.
Help to understand how the law is applied practically.
The Company
Very well structured with daily 'Practice Presentations' to give an insight into most of the office's departments, and lots of social events also structured into the placement.
Very good. Pinsent Masons has an excellent atmosphere and culture, and attitude towards students and trainees entering the office.
I felt like the firm was truly investing in me in that it was attempting to establish whether I was right for the firm and should be offered a training contract. I felt like I was given a fair opportunity to prove myself through the scheme.
I think the experience I encountered was quite accurate of a trainee solicitor, although obviously not as complex a workload, and I was able to see/ hear about the work more senior members would undertake.
Greatly. I found I fitted in well with the culture in a very short amount of time.
Very helpful in that in confirmed my desire to develop a career with Pinsent Masons.
Everything Else
2 structured in socials on the placement (cocktail master class and table tennis) . On top of this 'office drinks' on Fridays.
Extremely fun and useful
Yes including sports, charity days and pro bono schemes.
